AFC has announced revised calculation methodology for AFC Club Competitions Ranking. For the 2024-25 season onwards, the rankings will be based on the performance of clubs from the previous eight years with weighted value. The points for each country will be based on the average performance of all clubs in AFC Club Competitions Group Stage onwards and will be applied retroactively for re-calculation of the 2021 and 2022 points. The AFC Club Competitions Ranking is based on the performance in AFC club competitions in the last 8 seasons. The points will be totalled with weighted formula, with more emphasis on recent seasons' results. The AFC Club Competitions in 2020 shall not be included in the overall ranking calculation due to the cancellation of the remaining matches in the AFC Cup 2020 in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
